SHARON SANDEL

Sharon is a native Floridian from Jacksonville.  She graduated form the University of Florida before going on to teach for several years.  After she decided to go down a different road, she entered the real estate field as a residential real estate appraiser where she worked for 24 years.

 

During all her years of working, Sharon took painting classes, intent on pursuing her passion in life.  At this time, she lives in Weaverville, NC.  Sharon has spent her summers in Weaverville for some time, but also previously owned property in Vero Beach, FL, where she would spend her winter months.  Living in two distinct environmets affects the content of her work, but her love of the play of light on water or scenery is always reflected in her pieces.

 

Sharon works in traditional oil, acrylic, and watercolor mediums, but she also loves exploring new ways of using these materials.
